PROM BRING IT - Saturday, March 31st

Purple Dress Award!
Donate My Dress. org has awarded Hermitage's Prom Bring It with one of their 2012 Purple Dress Awards.   Prom Bring It is one of only five organizations around the country to receive this $5000 award.  The money will be used to dry clean, mend and distribute prom formal wear.  Congratulations Prom Bring It!

The HERMs 1st Annual Prom Bring It was held on Saturday, March 31st.  We wanted to prepare our deserving young ladies and young men for a night to remember.  Prom should be a cherished memory, and Prom Bring It wanted to help our students find the formal wear they would need to attend Prom.   We were seeking donations of prom dresses and other formal wear, and our community really stepped up, donating hundreds of dresses.  We were able to give students the chance to "shop" for an outfit at the storefront Virginia Center Commons donated for the day and distributed over
400 dresses.

Prom Bring It
has spread well beyond Hermitage High School.  Students from other schools were not turned away, and people came from several other schools and even other counties.  While the big event is over, there are still dresses available and the Prom Bring It committee is making an effort to help any student with a need for Prom.  Contact
PromBringIt@gmail.com to ask about scheduling an appointment.
